Past Events

BiolSoc's past events have included field trips, aquarium visits, pubcrawls, dinners, BBQs and the annual Heron Island field trip. Reports on past events include:

Heron Island Trip 1999

Dubbo Zoo Trip 1999

Cocktail Party 2000

Heron Island Trip 2001

Cocktail Party 2002

Past BiolSoc field trips have also been held at Crommelin Biological Research Station ("Warrah"):

Pearl Beach Field Station Trip 2000

Warrah is the School of Biological Sciences field station at Pearl Beach, near Woy Woy on the Central Coast. Biolsoc has, in the past, arranged weekend trips to Warrah. Is is a great place for anyone into biology (or not). For land-lubbers, the field station itself is set in bushland and there are large areas of bush to explore both in the stations backyard and in the National Park across the road. If you are more of a water baby, however, there is a great rock platform and beach only minutes from the front door. Warrah also has a small library which is great for finding out the names of all the critters that you're sure to see around the place.

The last BiolSoc Warrah field trip was held on from the Fri 26th September – Sun 28th September 2003.
