Bird Nesting On One Tree Island

One Tree Island is an important sea-bird rookery between the months of October and March. It is a rookery for 6 species of terns and a temporary home to several species of northern hemisphere waders. Accordingly, the area open to human movement is limited during the bird nesting season.
