Shauna Murray

My research is on the phylogenetics, systematics and identification of microalgae, particularly dinoflagellates and species that cause shellfish toxicity. I use light and electron microscopy, culturing and molecular genetic techniques. My current, ABRS funded, project emphasises the benthic dinoflagellates of Australia from temperate and tropical regions. I am the secretary of ASPAB, and am currently assembling dino*scope, a source of web-based information about dinoflagellates. In addition, I've conducted research on sustainability issues including the Ecological Footprint.
