I am interested in natural history, ecology, behaviour and evolution...and as if that is not enough, my research now involves using snakes as model organisms to study behavioural and evolutionary ecology. Although I do not remember fearing snakes, I started to work on these amazing animals by chance: during my Degree in biology, I worked as a summer fieldworker with Xavier Bonnet, and surveyed 4 snake species in the legendary Chizé forest (France)...After this first contact with both snakes and research, I worked for a year on the reproductive eco-physiology of rainbow boas with Oli Lourdais.
During my Masters and my PhD, I worked under the supervision of Xavier Bonnet on the ecology of sea kraits in New Caledonia. The opportunity to participate in this research project from its very beginning has enabled me to work on various research subjects (life history traits, reproductive ecology, sexual dimorphism, foraging ecology, community ecology, marine and terrestrial ecology).
Although I am quite eclectic and thus interested in the broad field of behavioural and evolutionary ecology, my current research interests deal with the evolutionary invasion of marine and aquatic ecosystems by snakes.
