French-Australian Science and Technology (FAST) collaboration: May 2007 meeting in Nancy, France
Outcomes include
- agreement on the co-tutelle PhD project
- discussion of the merits of d13C as an indicator of water-use efficiency
- agreement that the next meeting will be in NSW (Australia) in November 2007
One-day mini-symposium on the use of stable isotopes in forests
The first FAST meeting in France co-incided with a 1-day mini-symposium on stable isotopes in forests. The symposium was organised by Erwin Dreyer and Daniel Epron. It was attended by more than 50 scientists, including the FAST delegates, delegates of the French-Italian Galileo project, and assorted scientists from France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.
