Research in the Integrative Physiology Research Group addresses
questions concerning the physiological basis
of whole organisms function.
We are truly integrative in that our research interests transcend
both taxonomical boundaries, and technological restrictions.
Current research conducted by members of the group include
projects on symbiosis in marine organisms, the evolution of
viviparity in lizards, phase change in locusts, thermal physiology
of archosaurs, and cellular signalling pathways.

The range of study organisms and questions posed by researchers
in the group are matched by the diversity of techniques used
to answer those questions, which encompass analysis of gene
expression, biochemical assays, ecological sampling and behavioural
observations.
