Molecular and Evolutionary Genetics Group lion

Tetrahedron showing the distribution of nucleotides from genomic data.
The method was developed here and is described in Ho et al.
(Bioinformatics 22:2162-2163 [2006]).

The Molecular and Evolutionary Genetics Group undertakes collaborative multidisciplinary research to understand the complexity of biological systems at a range of levels, from molecular basis through to evolutionary consequence. The group consists of the Evolutionary Bioinformatics Lab and the Molecular Genetics Lab and utilises approaches that encompass molecular biology and genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, genomics, functional genomics and bioinformatics to generate both fundamental knowledge and methods/tools/targets for application in biotechnology.
